Preparation of Cs0.33WO3 Particles for Sun Protection Glass
Using sodium tungstate and cesium carbonate as raw materials, cesium tungsten oxide (Cs0.33WO3) powder can be synthesized by hydrothermal reaction at 190 °C with citric acid as the reducing agent. Firstly, a precursor solution with n (Cs): n (W) = 0.33:1 containing appropriate citric acid was prepared using sodium tungstate and cesium carbonate as raw materials. Then the precursor solution was transferred into a Teflon-lined autoclave and heated at 190 °C for 3 days, and pure Cs0.33WO3 powders could be finally obtained after being washed with water and ethanol three times respectively and dried at 80 °C overnight. Finally, the as-prepared Cs0.33WO3 powders were annealed under N2 atmosphere at 500 °C for 2 h.
