Bismuth phosphotungstate is a bismuth salt of phosphotungstic acid, as a catalyst with green powder, chemical formula of BiPW₁₂O₄₀, generated by metathesis and microwave solid-phase synthesis method from phosphotungstic acid and bismuth trichloride.
