US Armor Piecing Designed for Penetrating 99A Tank

In the field of armor piercing, the United States is well ahead of all the countries in the world - including tungsten alloy armor piercing projectiles.

At present, the most popular armor piercing bullets are tungsten alloy and depleted uranium alloy. The depleted uranium alloy is harder and firmer. In the process of wearing, the head has a self-sharpening characteristic, and the wear and tear is pointed; while the tungsten alloy wears out a blunt head like mushroom. As the material of the new tungsten alloy armor-piercing projectile, with tungsten alloy fibers and amorphous, it is expected to achieve the same self-sharpening performance of depleted uranium alloy.

The first generation of the long armor piercing projectile, its body is very short, actually, the tungsten alloy (heavy and hard) plays a core role of armor piercing, which is short and small, wrapped in high-strength steel-made tubular jacket.

The M829 E3 is too hard and strong for the modern tank to attack, for 99A tanks; we can see a very heavy, large-angled-angle design on the top of its turret.

During the armoring process, the lighter the weight of the saddle, the longer the rod length, the heavier the bar, the lower the material, the lower consumption of the kinetic energy. All states that tungsten alloy with high-density has its applicability of armor piercing.

In the foreseeable future, all the US performance standards of armor piercing missile have been made known to the public, its technical reserves are far less than the bottom of the time.
