Cs0.33WO3 Applied for Transparent Heat-insulation Coating

Cs0.33WO3, or cesium tungsten bronze, is mainly applied for preparing transparent heat-insulation coating. In this process, Cs0.33WO3 nanoparticles are prepared into heat insulation nanoparticle dispersions at first. And the prepared Cs0.33WO3 coating maintains high transmittance in visible light region, while absorbing, but not reflecting, much of near-infrared (NIR) light.

According to the experts, antimony-doped tin oxide (ATO), tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) and lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6) also shield heat by absorbing NIR. Solar intensity is high in the shorter wavelengths in NIR, which region is absorbed particularly well by LaB6 and cesium tungsten bronze. And the nanoparticle-dispersed films have generally a better property than the conventional heat-absorbing and heat-reflecting glasses. It is noteworthy that the IR-absorbing technology of the cesium tungsten bronze nano dispersion offers as excellent a solar control property as the IR-reflective technologies of ITO sputtered glass and multilayered solar reflective films. That is to say, transparent heat-insulation coating glass of Cs0.33WO3 has excellent heat shielding property than ITO glass.
