Ganzhou Tungsten Association Raised Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for February

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price shows signs of rise after the holiday of Chinese Lunar New Year. On the one hand, insiders maintain optimistic attitudes when the whole world is focusing on the Winter Olympics, and the release of raw materials is limited; on the other hand, new offers from listed tungsten companies shored up market confidence. 

Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA)’s average tungsten forecast prices for February: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $18,254.0/ton, an increase of $793.7/ton month-to-month; ammonium paratungstate (APT) price was $320.2/mtu, an increase of $13.5/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder price was $43.7/kg, an increase of $1.3/kg compared with January. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten released its long-term contract prices for the first half of February: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $18,254.0/ton, up $793.7/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $18,015.9/ton, up $793.7/ton; APT was $320.2/mtu, up $4.5/mtu from the second half of January. 

Xiamen Tungsten quoted APT bid price at $318.4/mtu, up $4.5/mtu from the second half of January.
