Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online
China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) and state-owned tungsten companies released their guide prices for the market, which shows a slight decline on the whole.
GTA released its average tungsten forecast prices for December: 55% black tungsten concentrate was $16,666.7/ton, down $634.9/ton compared with last month; ammonium paratungstate (APT) was $292.4/mtu, down $13.5/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder was $40.5/kg, down $1.6/kg from November.
Zhangyuan Tungsten’s long-term contract prices for the first half of December: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $16,666.7/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was $16,428.6/ton, unchanged from the second half of last month; APT was $292.4/mtu, down $0.9/mtu from the second half of November.
Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price for the first half of this month was $291.5/mtu, a decline of $6.3/mtu from the second half of November.
Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high grade black tungsten concentrate at $16,984.1/ton, up $158.7/ton compared with late November.
