Cerium Oxide Price - September 8, 2021

China’s domestic rare earth market as a whole has stopped falling and started to stabilize in early September, 2021. Since mid-August, the prices of many rare earth products have shown a downward trend. However, due to the limited support of production costs and spot positions, the continuous downward adjustment of product prices has been small.

From the perspective of positive factors, the strengthening of the order of the rare earth industry and the poor weather are the reasons for the low production of rare earths and the increase in mining costs. In addition, due to the impact of the new crown virus epidemic, the unstable shipping schedule and stricter terminal control measures are all factors increasing the transportation cost of rare earths, thereby enhancing suppliers' awareness of price-defying.

From the perspective of negative factors, firstly, due to the shortage of funds and the current high price of rare earth raw materials, downstream users are obviously cautious in receiving goods, and mostly wait and see; secondly, in the case of weak rare earth market, mainstream companies offer quotations. The downward adjustment will more or less affect investor confidence in trading.
