Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online
China tungsten price maintained stability in the last end of April ended on Friday, April 30, 2021 with the approaching of International Labour Day, which is extended to a holiday of five consecutive days off in China. Most participants became cautious and considered profit-taking, waiting for the further guidance after the holiday.
Tungsten concentrate price stabilized at about $15,396.8/t with rare deals reported as the market was in a stalemate. Smelting factories faced pressure of price inversion. However, as the month-long environmental checks will come to an end in early May, production may increase and raw material prices are expected to decline as a result. Tungsten powder price hovered around $36.5/kg and are likely to maintain current trend until a big change in upstream.
