China Rare Earth Prices - August 8, 2019

China rare earth prices continue to be in the upward trend on the whole owing to active market inquiry despite of cautious sentiment of traders. At present, downstream enterprises are more cautious in taking goods, and they are in conflict with high-priced goods, while holders are looking forward to rising product prices, and thus low-cost goods are hard to find. 

In the light rare earth market, the prices of some mainstream products have bottomed out, supported by multiple positive news. Most mining companies are reluctant to sell their products at low prices. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, due to stricter environmental protection policies, high temperature and heavy rains, the tight supply of goods has not been effectively alleviated, resulting in a small increase in market prices in the short term.
