Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten prices remained unchanged last week after a slight adjustment with the release of average tungsten forecast prices of Ganzhou Tungsten Association and offer levels of listed tungsten companies.

It was reported that Jiangxi Tungsten released its offer level of wolframite concentrate at $15,384.6/t, up 307.7/t from February. The rise boosted market confidence, plus with limited production output during China’s Two Sessions, most sellers have strong rised mentality. Tungsten concentrate price now stands at $15,076.9/t.

In the ammonium metatungstate (APT) market, downstream market was not active in purchasing with few orders from large enterprises. But with the support of raw material market, manufacturers still tended to stabilize their offer levels. The orders mainly came from old customers.

Pressed by weak demand, downstream tungsten carbide and product enterprises consumed tungsten powder slowly and remained low buying appetite. Although upstream manufacturers have the willingness of sales, rare transactions were concluded. At present, tungsten powder price hovers around $36.2/kg.
