Molybdenum Concentrate Prices - Jan. 16, 2019

The China molybdenum market fell in trading this week, with suppliers cutting their offer prices in the face of stubborn resistance among consumers against paying more. Besides, steel mills trying to forcing prices down also weakened market confidence. 

Downstream factories remain low operating rate, resulting in the difficult sales of raw materials and continued decline of molybdenum concentrate prices. Lowered costs and disappointed expectations also dragged down prices of molybdenum chemical and product market. In the short term, steel tender and the supply are hard to improve, and the market will continue its weakness.
