Chinese Rare Earth Prices - Jul. 30, 2018

Chinese rare earth prices are unchanged compared with last week on uncertain policy side and thin trading volumes. In the supply side, spot goods are tight and production costs remain high under the environmental checks. For the policy side, policies for purchasing and storage are still quiet, weakening support for the market.

In 2007, the global rare earth REO reserves were about 120 million tons and China took up 44 million tons, accounting for 36.67%, according to the report of United States Geological Survey. From the perspective of distribution structure, China's rare earth reserves rank first in the world.
