Yellow Tungsten Oxide Composite Film

A yellow tungsten oxide composite film uses amorphous tungsten oxide as a matrix, and the SiO2 nanocrystals are uniformly distributed in the amorphous tungsten oxide. Some experts prepared such a composite film with a spectral modulation amplitude at 633 nm of 46%, a coloring time of 8 s, and a fade time of 4.3 s through the following steps:

Step One: Ultrasonic disperse 0.3g of SiO2 nanocrystalline powder in 6mL of dimethylformamide to form a dimethylformamide solution of TiO2 nanocrystals.

Step Two: Add 1.5 g of ammonium metatungstate to the dimethylformamide solution of SiO2 nanocrystals obtained in step One, and treated by ultrasonic wave to obtain a composite solution.

Step Three: Add 2 mL of ethanol to the composite solution obtained in step Two, and then ultrasonic treatment.

Step Four: Spin-coat the solution obtained in Step Three on the cleaned ITO substrate with a spin coater. Wherein, the spin coating speed is 500 r/min and the homogenization time is 5 s; then the rotation speed is 1000 r/min and the gelation time is 20 s.

Step Five: The wet film prepared in step Four is heat-treated in an air atmosphere at a temperature of 350 °C, holding 60 min to prepare SiO2 nanocrystal - yellow tungsten oxide composite film.
