High Performance Tungsten Oxide Preparation by Photocatalyst

In recent years, with the development of industrialization and the rapid improvement of people's living standards, environmental pollution has become the main problem facing human beings, especially water pollution, which has attracted more and more attention. Industrial waste water accounts for a large part of the water pollution sources. Because of its dark color and strong toxicity, it is difficult to treat.

Some scholars have proposed a preparation method of high performance tungsten oxide photocatalyst. Its main process is as follows:

Step 1, sodium tungstate was added to deionized water, and the solution with concentration of 0.01-0.03mol/l was formed by ultrasonic dispersion;

Step 2, slowly drop hydrochloric acid solution into the solution of step 1 until it is completely dissolved, seal reaction for 3-5h, and obtain light yellow liquid;

Step 3, the light yellow liquid is successively and uniformly filled with cation exchange resin to obtain the light yellow tungstate colloid;

Step 4, put the light yellow colloid of tungstate into the rotary evaporation device for vacuum distillation to obtain the light yellow concentrated solution;

Step 5, add PVP to anhydrous ethanol to form a viscous alcohol solution of 0.1-0.5g/l, and then add it to the light yellow concentrated solution to obtain the alcohol water mixture of tungstic acid;

Step 6, carry out the second vacuum distillation of the alcohol water mixture of tungstic acid to obtain the second concentrated solution;

Step 7, anhydrous methanol is added to the secondary concentrated solution to form a mixed alcohol solution, and then the mixed alcohol solution is put into an electrolytic reactor for sealed pressure electrolysis reaction for 10-15h, and the high activity tungsten oxide photocatalyst is obtained after filtration.

The prepared tungsten oxide photocatalyst uses a 365nm ultraviolet lamp and a visible light source for 1-5h illumination successively. The illumination condition is constant temperature and humidity, and the tungsten oxide catalyst keeps its activity after illumination. It not only has good photocatalytic performance in the ultraviolet region, but also has good photocatalytic performance in the visible region.
