Tungsten carbide cutting tools are being widely applied in different industries and areas, during the usage there are several tips that could be taken into consideration.


1.Tungsten carbide cutting tools are easy to be broken while under too much force or specific local stress, since they are made from hard and brittle material. It will be quite dangerous, if a broken part of  the tungsten carbide cutting tool, which has a sharp cutting edges on it.

2.For most of tungsten carbide cutting tools, tungsten and cobalt are the two dominant components. So the cutting tools are always in high density. During the transportation and storage, special attention needed to be paid.

3.As the thermal expansion coefficient is different between tungsten carbide cutting tool and that of steel, proper temperature during the welding processes should be strictly controlled, in case of stress concentration that would cause cutting tool’s rupture.
