Cs0.33WO3 Applied for Energy-saving Glass Thermal Insulating Coating

Cs0.33WO3 is also known as cesium tungsten bronze with excellent near-infrared shielding properties, so it is often used to prepare energy-saving glass thermal insulating coating, which is eventually applied to glass substrates to form a transparent thermal insulation film. According to the experts, MxWO3 (M = Tl, Rb, Cs) tungsten bronze with near-infrared shielding performance was first proposed in 2007.

In 2007, some experts prepared MxWO3 (M = Tl, Rb, Cs) tungsten bronze using high-temperature solid-phase hydrogen reduction method. The results show that when the atomic ratio of alkali metal to tungsten is 1: 3, various tungsten bronze films have a strong ability to absorb near-infrared light and transmit visible light in accordance with the transmission spectrum of the thin films. Wherein, the spectra of tungsten bronzes doped with different alkali metals is shown in the photo above. What should be noted is that cesium tungsten bronze is attracting more and more attention in recent years although it has only been developing for a dozen years.
