The obtained Cs0.33WO3 nano powder possessed excellent NIR shielding performance, NIR photothermal conversion property and stability. With decreasing particle size or increasing particle concentration, the NIR photothermal conversion-induced temperature increase is enhanced. Such a nanomaterial not only could be used in the transparent solar heat-shielding coatings, but also is useful for the development of NIR-triggered photothermal conversion materials in biomedicine. And the heat insulation glass coating of cesium tungsten bronze nanopowder is often used to office buildings as it is environmentally-friendly and easy to construct with high heat radiation shielding performance. Also, such smart coating is used to replace thermal insulation films and curtains, which are not suitable to be applied in large area glasses.
