Lately, the experts found that the cesium tungsten bronze (CsxWO3) powder could be prepared by a water controlled-release solvothermal process with CsOH and WCl6 as raw materials, and it could exhibit excellent visible transparency and broad waveband absorption of 800 to 15,000 nm. However, these raw materials are not environmentally friendly because of the easy hydrolysis of WCl6 and the volatilization of HCl18. So, the experts found other preparation methods to solve this drawback. And it is believed that CsxWO3 with excellent heat shielding property is the potential candidate for the smart window coated materials.
