According to experts, the tungsten oxide film can be prepared by electrodeposition method. Experts say that when WO3 film is prepared by electrodeposition, it is generally carried out in a tungstic acid solution. The electrodeposition reaction equation is shown as below:

W2O2-11+(2+x)H++xe-→2WO3+2+x2H2O+8−X4O2

In the formula, W2O2-11 is a peroxytungstate ion. The WO3 film prepared by electrodeposition is amorphous, containing a large amount of water. And since it is deposited by a cathode, H+ ions are embedded in the film, so that the generated film is blue.
