In 2012, there was a report on inkjet printing of tungsten trioxide electrochromic films. According to the report, the hydrated tungsten trioxide raw material was prepared by sol gel method. And scientists first printed the hydrated tungsten trioxide nano particles on PET/ITO by inkjet printing technology and assembled them into flexible electrochromic devices. Recently, breakthroughs have been made in the study of inkjet printing of tungsten trioxide electrochromic thin films. The scientists discussed the structure, morphology and effects of the inkjet process on the electrochromic properties of the electrodes, and finally an all solid complementary electrochromic device was prepared by inkjet printing technology. Now, the electrochromic device of tungsten trioxide nano material is more and more widely used.
