The surface of the prepared cesium tungsten bronze nano powder may be added with a small amount of inorganic metal oxide such as silicon oxide and/or titanium oxide and/or aluminum oxide and/or zirconia during the grinding process. These materials coat the outer surface of the powder to protect its surface. And they can avoid particle aggregation or changes in surface properties. Also, a small amount of silane, titanium alkane or organometallic groups may be added to modify the surface of such heat insulating powder to increase the compatibility of the powder with organic solvents or resins. The obtained cesium tungsten bronze powder can be used alone or in combination with a binder. For example, the cesium tungsten bronze is dispersed in a solvent with a suitable dispersing agent to prepare a nano transparent heat-insulating dispersion, which is thus applied to the transparent substrate by wet coating, and dried to produce a transparent heat-insulating film.
