CsxWO3 Applied for Infrared Thermal Insulation Nano Material

CsxWO3 (cesium tungsten bronze) may be applied for producing infrared thermal insulation nano material. And the obtained material may be used to make transparent glass film or transparent heat-insulating coating and then applied to the field of building glass window.

As you may know, malic acid has two carboxyl groups and one hydroxyl group, which is structurally similar to citric acid. However, there has been no previous report on the preparation of Cs0.32WO3 powder by hydrothermal method using malic acid as a reducing agent before.

Later, some experts used sodium tungstate and cesium carbonate as raw materials, and D-malic acid as reducing agent to successfully synthesize the rod-shaped Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles by hydrothermal method. And they mixed the Cs0.32WO3 nanopowder with SiO2 sol by blending method. Then, a transparent thermal insulation coating was prepared on the glass substrate. The obtained transparent thermal insulation coating was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared diffuse reflection absorption spectroscopy. The results show that the Cs0.32WO3 nanoparticles have good infrared absorption and UV blocking effects.
