This week, Chinese rare earth prices showed an overall downward trend, with key products experiencing fluctuations and declines.
Praseodymium-neodymium oxide prices dropped from approximately ¥421,000/ton to ¥410,000/ton, terbium oxide prices fell from around ¥5,930/kg to ¥5,780/kg, and dysprosium oxide prices declined from roughly ¥1,720,000/ton to ¥1,670,000/ton. The primary drivers of these declines were weaker-than-expected downstream demand and tightened cash flow, which heightened panic among suppliers and increased liquidation tendencies. However, as macroeconomic favorable news persists and production costs remain strong, signs of stabilization and slight rebounds appeared in certain products toward the weekend.
According to Chinatungsten Online's statistics:
Praseodymium-neodymium oxide: Down ¥11,000/ton (-2.61%) compared to last week.
Praseodymium-neodymium metal: Down ¥14,000/ton (-2.68%).
Terbium oxide: Down ¥150/kg (-2.53%).
Dysprosium oxide: Down ¥50,000/ton (-2.91%).
55N NdFeB blank blocks: Prices unchanged compared to last week.
NdFeB waste praseodymium-neodymium prices: Down ¥16/ton (-3.58%).
This data highlights significant declines in both light and heavy rare earth raw material prices during the week.
