Fishery Limits Matchmen’s Margin Time

A popular fishery has restricted margin fishing during matches after competitors complained that fishing at the venue had become ‘too easy’.

Mick Martin, match organizer at Kingfisher Pools in Bulkington, Warwickshire, has enforced the new rule after recent competitions saw venue records tumble, with anglers recording 300lb-plus mixed nets solely by fishing down the edge.

In response the fishery decided to limit fishing in the margins to after the first two-and-a-half hours of competition following complaints from regulars who said that the fishing on the venue’s 52-peg Kingfisher Lake was becoming one-dimensional.

Mick, who now uses a whistle to notify when competitors can move shorter than four pole sections out into the lake, explained his decision.

“Attendances to the matches were starting to drop and the lake has become so prolific it’s now far too easy to catch,” he said. “I thought I would make anglers work a bit harder for their fish and try other methods to make up the weights.

“I’ve had nothing but positive feedback since the change and anglers are now returning, so I am going to stick with it,” he said.

Big weights often dominate match fishing at this time of year, with some venues seeing individual weights soar as high as 800lb.

One of those is Arran’s Lake in Essex. Arran’s bailiff Glen Smith said there had been few complaints from anglers visiting his venue and that they would not be following in the footsteps of Kingfisher Pools in changing the rules to make catching big weights more difficult.

“Match anglers love bagging up with tones of fish – it’s what they come here for,” he said.

“No-one ever complains about being tired from catching so many fish, so we won’t be changing anything,” he said.

Tungsten fishing sinker can drop down the water and enhance the opportunity to catch fishes, meanwhile, tungsten sinker is a high-density metal, it ensure the heavier weight with small volume.

Second Perth Title For Dominant Taylor

After surrendering his eight-year unbeaten run at the World Matchplay to Wade last month, Taylor made amends in Perth as he ran out an 11-7 victor in the final having also beaten World Champion Gary Anderson earlier in the evening.

The Power started strongly in the final as he swiftly moved into a 5-1 lead, before Wade hit back with the highest checkout of the match as he expertly finished 130.

After a mini-revival from Wade, Taylor responded with a ton-plus finish of his own as he checked out 123 for a 12-darter to move 8-4 ahead.

The Power would then extend his advantage to 10-7 before wrapping up the win in the following leg to add a fourth World Series title in Australia to his CV and maintain his brilliant unbeaten run Down Under ahead of next week’s Coral Sydney Darts Masters.

“I’m over the moon to win here again, it’s been a long day but I got there in the end” said Taylor.

“I love playing over here, it doesn’t get any better and I’m going to enjoy it. It was a strange final but I managed to get the right 180 at the right time and that saw me through.

“I was disappointed to lose to James in Blackpool, I didn’t play anywhere near my best, I gave him chances and he took them. It was good to put that right today. The guys will all be wary of me now heading into Sydney next week and I’m looking forward to it!”

Earlier in the evening, Taylor booked his place in the last two after a 10-5 win over Anderson in a spectacular semi-final which saw both players average over 104 with 12 maximums.

Anderson started well and landed a superb 12-dart leg, checking out 121, to head into the first break with a 4-3 lead. The Power would turn on the style after the break though as he took the final six legs of the match on the spin, including a 12-darter and two 13-dart legs, before finishing with an 80 checkout to book his place in the final

Wade booked his place in a first World Series final after a dramatic 10-9 win over the world number one Michael van Gerwen in Perth.

After a scrappy start to the match, which saw the first five legs all go against the throw, Wade kicked on to take three straight legs and open up a 5-2 lead.

Wade's form would continue after the break as he landed an 11-darter, as well as a nerve-busting 122 checkout on the bullseye to move 9-7 ahead. Van Gerwen hit back again though with an excellent checkout of his own as he finished 124 to force a decider, where Wade would hold his nerve to break the throw with a 13-dart leg.

The PDC World Series continues next week with the 2015 Coral Sydney Darts Masters at the Qantas Credit Union Arena between August 20-22.

As for professional game of darts, we recommend tungsten darts, tungsten is an extremely dense metal. It is also very durable, so a high-density tungsten dart’s knurling will last much longer.

TABtouch Perth Darts Masters Day Two

The World Champion recovered from 6-1 down to defeat Lewis 8-7 in a dramatic deciding leg and set up a clash with defending Perth Darts Masters champion Phil Taylor in Sunday’s semi-finals.

Anderson struggled to get going as Lewis capitalized on a lethargic start from the Scot to race into a 6-1 lead, before Anderson found his form in spectacular fashion, taking the next five legs on the spin to level up the match at six-all.

Lewis would stop the rot with a stunning 124 checkout on the bull, but Anderson would level again in the following leg to force a decider, where he capitalized on two missed match darts from the two-time World Champion to land tops and secure the win.

"Adrian made a mess of some doubles and really let me back in," said Anderson. "I live to fight another day but I think I might have used up all of my luck after that match!"

Anderson’s semi-final opponent Taylor booked his spot in the last four as he silenced the home crowd to defeat Perth's Kyle Anderson 8-3 and keep the defence of his title alive.

Taylor started strongly, breaking in the third leg before checking out 101 to head into the first break with a 4-2 lead.

Taylor would maintain his form after the interval, breaking again before landing another ton-plus checkout, 106, and then completing the comfortable victory with a 13-dart leg.

"It was steady tonight," said Taylor. "I've got a bit of a sweat on which I don't normally do and Kyle put me under pressure.

"Kyle is a great player; he's a little bit up and down at the moment but he will get that consistency and will be a top player."

2014 Masters champion James Wade became the evening’s first semi-finalist as he comfortably defeated a below-par Peter Wright 8-2 in the opening game of the quarter-finals.

World Matchplay runner-up Wade broke throw in the fourth leg en route to opening up a 4-1 lead before Wright hit back with a superb 12-darter as he checked out 126 on the bulls-eye.

That would be as good as it would get for June's Japan Darts Masters runner-up though, as Wade reeled off the next four legs, finishing with a 100 checkout to wrap up the win.

"I thought I was ready to put in a really strong performance tonight but it didn't really happen and Peter didn't play anywhere near his best," said Wade. "I couldn't really believe the darts he was throwing and it's never nice to beat a man when they are not playing well.

"I'm happy with the win though, onwards and upwards from here."

Michael van Gerwen will be Wade's opponent on Sunday in a rematch of the Blackpool final, after he averaged 105.94 in a stunning 8-4 win over Dutch counterpart Raymond van Barneveld in a high-quality encounter.

With the pair level at 3-3, van Gerwen turned on the style after the interval as he recorded two 12-dart legs and an 11-darter to move 6-4 ahead before swiftly securing the victory with a 47 checkout.

"It started off 50/50 and we were both playing well but after the break I really turned it on, kept putting him under pressure and wasn't missing much at all," said van Gerwen.

"I have to keep it going now, there's a long way to go and I'm only in the semi-finals, it will be another tough day on Sunday."

The 2015 TABtouch Perth Darts Masters draws to a conclusion on Sunday with the semi-finals and final of the PDC World Series of Darts event taking place at the HBF Stadium.

Tungsten dart is a perfect choice for professional game, tungsten is a high-density and durable metal, so tungsten can be processed into fine tungsten darts.

Tungsten darts become the most popular darts among professional players, because tungsten darts are made of high-density metal, so they can be smaller than darts with other material. Besides, tungsten darts have delicate knurling, which make them worthy of being collected.

Tungsten darts already become the only choice of most professional players, because they found its value are far more than price. It’s all known that tungsten is a high-density metal, so it makes tungsten darts smaller than other materials (in the same weight).

TABtouch Perth Darts Masters Day One Ⅱ

World Champion Gary Anderson was in similarly strong form as he whitewashed Kim Lewis 6-0 to hand the experienced Australian qualifier defeat on his PDC debut.

Anderson recovered from a shaky start to storm into a 5-0 lead, before landing his biggest finish of the game with a 126 checkout to wrap up the win with a 12-darter.

World Matchplay runner-up James Wade kicked off the tournament with an impressive 6-1 victory against qualifier Adam Rowe

After swapping blows in the opening stages, Wade kicked on to take the final five legs and comfortably seal his spot in the quarter-finals.

Adrian Lewis enjoyed a similarly smooth path into the quarter-finals as he disposed of current DPA Australian Grand Prix number one Loz Ryder 6-1, with a brilliant 123 checkout on the bull in leg five being the highlight of his display.

Japan Darts Masters runner-up Peter Wright completed the quarter-final line-up as he defeated Paul Nicholson 6-2.

Wright stormed out of the blocks as he raced into a 5-0 lead before Nicholson finally found some form to take the next two legs.

The Scot, though, would hit back again as he landed double 14 in the following leg to secure the victory.

"It was great to win today in front of such a brilliant crowd here," said Wright. "Paul is a good friend of mine and that did make things slightly harder though.

"I have been working hard on starting strongly over recent months and I did that today, which was very pleasing ."

Saturday's quarter-finals will see Wright take on Wade before the all-Dutch clash between van Gerwen and van Barneveld, while Taylor takes on Kyle Anderson before Gary Anderson meets Lewis.

The PDC World Series of Darts event will then conclude on Sunday with the semi-finals and final at the HBF Stadium.

The reason why almost every professional player would choose tungsten darts because tungsten darts have high-density and wearing resistant characters.

TABtouch Perth Darts Masters Day One Ⅰ

The PDC World Series of Darts event in Perth kicked off with the first round as eight top PDC stars took on eight Oceanic representatives, and it was Perth's Anderson who caused a shock against Bunting.

Anderson - whose emergence has seen him qualify recently for the World Matchplay in Blackpool to follow up three World Championship appearances - started strongly as he raced into a 3-0 lead against the English ace.

Bunting responded superbly, taking five of the next seven legs to force a decider, but paid for missing one match dart to complete a stunning comeback as Anderson held his nerve to take out double 15 and set up a quarter-final against defending Perth Darts Masters champion Phil Taylor on Saturday.

“I’ve been here for three weeks now and I feel really settled," said Anderson, who has been based mainly in the UK while competing on the PDC circuit since winning a Tour Card 18 months ago.

"It’s great to be playing in front of my friends and family again. The guys are going to have to be careful because they are on my turf now!”

Taylor began the defence of his title with a 6-1 victory against New Zealand’s Craig Caldwell, despite having suffered from illness in the build-up to the event after arriving in Australia.

The Stoke great, who turned 55 on Thursday, landed back-to-back 14-darters as he moved 3-0 up before taking out 130 on the bull for a 12-darter to lead by four legs.

He also kicked off the fifth with two 180s, but after missing out on a possible nine-darter he went on to lose the leg as Caldwell posted double eight.

However, Taylor swiftly ended Caldwell's hopes with another brace of 14-dart finishes to seal the victory and move through to a meeting with the home favourite on Saturday.

"Craig put me under a lot of pressure, and after I missed the nine-darter the crowd started to get on my back which made things slightly more difficult. I've been ill for the last couple of days and so I won't be going to see any kangaroos, it's more important that I get my rest ahead of Saturday."

World number one Michael van Gerwen survived a light fightback from David Platt as he secured a 6-4 victory from their first round clash.

Van Gerwen looked to be on course for a record televised average as he started in scintillating form, kicking off with seven perfect darts before landing an 11-darter in the opening leg before racing into a 4-1 lead.

Platt, though, refused to be beaten though as he secured three of the next four legs to reduce the gap to just one leg at 5-4 before van Gerwen found his form again to break in the final leg, landing tops to wrap up the win, ending with a 105.69 average.

"Dave is a good player and it was a very tough game," said van Gerwen, who claimed the World Matchplay title three weeks ago in his last outing.

"I want to do a lot better tomorrow but I did enough tonight. I feel great, I've got a feeling that I can win this tournament but there are a lot more games to do and I'll have to improve."

Van Gerwen will now face fellow Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals, after the five-time World Champion produced a fine display to defeat Australian favourite Simon Whitlock 6-3 with a 102.96 average.

Van Barneveld landed two maximums and a 106 checkout during the high-quality encounter, before securing the win with a 13-darter.

"As soon as the draw came out and I saw I was playing Simon I knew I would have to focus as he is the best you can face in Australia," said van Barneveld. "Luckily I played well, hit my doubles and got a good win."

Tungsten darts become the most professional sport for its high-density and durability, so almost every professional player choose tungsten darts to get a high score.
