1. The Preparation of Raw Materials

(1) Tungsten source: ammonium meta tungstate (NH4) 6H2W12O40

(2) Copper source: copper nitrate Cu (NO3) 2

(3) Ammonium nitrate NH4NO3

(4) Auxiliary agent: At least one of glycine, urea, thiourea and citric acid.

2. The Preparation of Solution

The selected raw materials are mixed evenly into a solution according to a certain proportion. Among them, the molar ratio of copper nitrate and tungsten source is 0.3:1. The molar ratio of ammonium nitrate and tungsten source is 12:36. And the molar ratio of auxiliary agent and tungsten source is 5:15.

3. Preparation of Copper Modified Violet Tungsten Oxide

The prepared aqueous solution is heated. With the evaporation of the aqueous solution, the solution is concentrated and a large amount of gas is produced at the same time. Vigorous oxidation-reduction reaction is happened within several tens of seconds so as to prepare copper modified violet tungsten oxide successfully.

The prepared copper modified violet tungsten oxide is nano powder with a diameter of 30-200 nm and a length of 1-3 μm.
