Different raw materials and different processes may affect the actual sintering mechanism. The determination of sintering mechanism can be carried out by means of index method and sinter diagram. At present, the sintering theory only points out all kinds of possible material migration mechanisms and their corresponding dynamics in the process of sintering. The latter can be applied only when a certain institution has the advantage.
The different powders, different granularity, different sintering temperatures or different stages of isothermal sintering, and different sintering atmospheres and ways, such as external stress, may change the actual mechanism and dynamics of sintering. The specific leading sintering mechanism depends on the powder material, powder particle size, density of powder particles, surface state, sintering temperature and sintering atmosphere.
1, Index Method
Different sintering mechanisms meet xm/an=F (T) t. Ln (x/a) and LNT can be used to map the leading sintering mechanism according to the slope. The actual result is not an integer but a decimal between a number of two numbers, which indicates that the sintering process may have two or more than two mechanisms. It is ambiguous and difficult to provide accurate evaluation information.
2, Sinter Diagram
This method requires that the sintering neck radius is a longitudinal coordinate, and the sintering temperature is a horizontal coordinate mapping to distinguish the leading sintering mechanism. It is a very effective tool to describe the sintering behavior of powder. The relationship between the size of the sintered neck and the temperature can be studied, and the sintering stage can be judged.
