Warm Compaction: Process Characteristics

Warm compaction can effectively improve the density and strength of the blank, and widen the design space of the tungsten carbide forming agent, so it has a broad application prospect. It has great advantages in manufacturing low cost, high density, high strength, high precision, and complicated complex parts.

1, High Density, High Sintered Density and Even-Distributed Density
Warm compaction can not only improve the density of the blank, but also reduce the pressing pressure. Under the same pressing pressure, the density of parts produced by this process can be increased by 0.1 ~ 0.20g/cm3, and the increase of density can make the mechanical properties of products increase by 10% to 15%. When the parts of the same density are pressed, the pressure can be reduced by about 140MPa.

2, High Strength of Billet
The compact can be machined directly before sintering, so as to reduce the scrap and reduce the cost, and provide the possibility for manufacturing difficult to form complex parts. In the process of carrying, the pressed compact is not easy to bump and damage, thus reducing the rate of waste.

3, Low Demoulding Pressure
Manufactured by warm compaction, the density generally improves 0.14g/cm3 and the stripping force reduce more than 40MPa. This makes the temperature and pressing process more practical. Low demoulding force is beneficial to forming parts with complex shape and large surface area, and can prolong the service life of the die and reduce the cost.

4, Low Cost of Manufacturing
Warm compaction can achieve high density after one pressing and one sintering, so pressing pressure and demoulding force are low. Therefore, the die life is prolonged and the production cost is reduced. In addition, the machine is directly machined to the press, reducing the cost.
