China Tungsten Price Maintains Stability in the Middle of November 2022

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

At the beginning of the week, China tungsten price maintains stability on November 14, 2022 due in part to continued weakness in the demand side as well as the instability of the external environment.

The recent epidemics in Hunan, Henan and other places have had some interference with the operation of cemented carbide ends.

In the tungsten concentrate market, mining enterprises and downstream buyers are in a stalemate and thus market trading is rarely concluded. Prices of high-grade resources hover around $15,882.4/ton.

In the ammonium paratungstate (APT) market, it is still under pressure as the demand side remains weak. Smelting factories are cautious in trading to avid risks and make offers at around $274.2/mtu.

In the tungsten powder market, the consumption of cemented carbide ends is affected by the epidemic, and the recovery progress is slow. The market trading conditions continues to be under pressure and new orders from powder factories are limited. The industry believes that it is difficult to change the short-term market downturn, and wait and see the update of macro-level news such as epidemic prevention and control, the situation in Russia and Ukraine, and the US election.
