In terms of news: data from China Iron and Steel Association showed that in early May, the social inventory of 5 major types of steel in 21 cities was 12.45 million tons, down 2.0% from the previous month, up 58.0% from the beginning of the year, and down 2.0% from the same period last year. In terms of regions, South China decreased by 5.3% month-on-month, Northeast China decreased by 11.0%, Northwest China decreased by 2.8%, East China decreased by 0.6%, North China decreased by 0.8%, Southwest China increased by 4.7%, and Central China increased by 0.7%.
