Terbium Oxide Price - January 10, 2022

At the beginning of the week, China’s overall domestic rare earth market was still improving. Under the combined effect of the difficulty in increasing the supply of raw materials and the acceptable downstream demand, the seller's market has a greater advantage, which is mainly reflected in the rising prices of mainstream products and the considerable growth in orders.

At present, the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal have risen to around 900,000 yuan/ton and 1,110,000 yuan/ton respectively, and the prices of terbium oxide and dysprosium iron alloy are about 12,000 yuan/kg and 2,950,000 yuan/ton respectively.

News: Recently, Baotou Steel Co., Ltd. and Northern Rare Earth renewed the related-party transaction agreement for rare earth concentrates. It is planned that from January 1, 2022, the sales price of rare earth concentrates from both parties will be adjusted to 26,887.2 yuan/ton (dry volume, REO=51%) excluding tax, an increase of 65% compared with 16,269 yuan/ton in 2021. For every 1% increase or decrease in REO, the price excluding tax will increase or decrease by 527.2 yuan/ton (dry volume), and the total transaction volume of rare earth concentrates in 2022 will not exceed 230,000 tons (dry volume, REO=50%).
