Ganzhou Tungsten Association Raised Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for October

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price starts to show signs of rise in the middle of October. Recently, pressures on logistics and transportation caused by the epidemic repeatedly, on raw material supply chain caused by the economic recovery after the epidemic, on energy shortages caused by natural conditions such as seasonal weather, on environmental protection under the vision of carbon neutrality, etc., have led to an increase in the cost. The new guide prices for early October were raised accordingly. 

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) released its average tungsten forecast prices for October: 55% black tungsten concentrate was $17,222.2/ton, up $79.4/ton compared with last month; ammonium paratungstate (APT) was $303.1/mtu, up $9.0/mtu; medium particle tungsten powder was $41.6/kg, up $0.95/kg compared with September. 

Zhangyuan Tungsten’s offers for the first half of October: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $17,222.2/ton, up $238.1/ton; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) was quoted at $16,984.1/ton, up $238.1/ton; APT was quoted at $303.1/mtu, up $10.8/mtu from the second half of September.

Xiamen Tungsten’s APT bid price was $299.5/mtu for the first half of October, an increase of $9.0/mtu from the second half of September. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high-grade black tungsten concentrate at $17,619/ton, up $158.7/ton compared with the second half of September.
