Praseodymium Oxide Price - April 14, 2021

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide and neodymium oxide prices decline slightly while praseodymium oxide price climbs under many instabilities in the market.

The light rare earth market is mixed. Although magnetic materials companies basically purchase just-needed materials and actively destock, they are supported by the optimistic development prospects of the new energy market. Suppliers generally maintain rational quotations, and praseodymium oxide price has risen slightly to 530,000 yuan/ton, neodymium oxide price dropped slightly to 590,000 yuan/ton.

In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the fundamentals of supply and demand are in a weakly balanced pattern, and market prices are difficult to update. This is mainly due to the limited consumption capacity of downstream users and the output of some rare earth smelting enterprises has been reduced.

The 2020 annual performance report released by Minmetals Rare Earths shows that the company's total operating income is about 1.656 billion yuan, an increase of 0.56% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies is about 279 million yuan, an increase of 224.80% year-on-year; basic earnings per share are 0.2844 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 224.66%.
