Dysprosium Oxide Price - November 26, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the neodymium oxide, dysprosium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide prices continue to pick up thanks to active trading activity in the market.

From the demand side, firstly, affected by the healthy development of industries such as new energy vehicles, electronic products, inverter air conditioners, and wind power, most downstream magnetic companies have increased their consumption demand, which in turn has a greater impact on upstream businesses’ firm quotations; second, in the future, as the impact of the epidemic gradually decreases, downstream user demand may continue to be repaired, so in the short term, the price of domestic rare earth products is unlikely to fall.

From the supply side, first, the "Export Control Law of the People's Republic of China" will come into effect, which may reduce China's export volume of rare earths once again, and increase the strategic value of rare earths. This is one of the reasons why the current mentality of holding goods and reluctant to sell them; second, under the tightening of ecological and environmental protection policies, some rare earth mining companies have to reduce the rate of capacity release, which has led to a shortage of mainstream products in spot supply and market prices have been rising.
