Terbium Oxide Price - November 19, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: DyFe, neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide prices continue to rise on November 19, 2020 despite the internal market remains unstable. At present, due to low inventory of some products and high enthusiasm of downstream magnetic material companies to enter the market, holders basically have strong rised mentality.

In the light rare earth market, the price of praseodymium metal and its oxide products has increased significantly. In addition to stricter environmental protection policies and a certain positive effect on market confidence, the tight supply of raw materials is also the reason for the price increase of rare earth mining companies. In the short term, it is difficult to find low-priced resources in the market.

In the heavy rare earth market, due to the high initiative of buyers and sellers to enter the market, the pessimism on the market is weak. The price of terbium and holmium has risen to varying degrees, and the overall transaction is slightly optimistic. The listing price of Southern Rare Earth this week showed that terbium oxide price rose by 240,000 yuan/ton to 5.3 million yuan/ton; holmium oxide price rose by 10,000 yuan/ton to 445,000 yuan/ton.

In the third quarter, China's rare earth industry prosperity index was 110.37 points, which was higher than the 100-point prosperity line, and was in the "prosperity" range, up 6.67 points or 6.43% month-on-month. Among them, the sub-indices of market performance, production and operation, employee status and technological innovation are all in the "prosperity" range, while the sub-indices of inventory status and financing are below the prosperity line.
