Terbium Oxide Price - November 16, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: terbium oxide, praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide prices are in the upward trend on November 16, 2020 despite of slow inquiry but firm offers of raw material suppliers. 

In the light rare earth market, the overall delivery of goods is low. As the end of the year is approaching, downstream users’ stocking sentiment has increased, which has prompted mainstream upstream merchants to generally maintain firm quotations, but some suppliers still cut their offers. In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the price of dysprosium and terbium products has risen significantly, and the atmosphere of negotiation among traders is more harmonious, with more new orders. The current price of terbium oxide is about 5,250 yuan/kg.

The prices of eight rare earth products monitored in October all declined to varying degrees from the previous month. The average price of rare earth carbonate was RMB 20,750/ton, down by RMB 125/ton from the previous month, a decrease of 0.6%; compared with the same period last year, a decrease of 11.7% from RMB 2,750/ton last year; the average price of cerium oxide was 9,250 yuan/ton, down by 125 yuan/ton from the previous month, a decrease of 1.3%; compared with the same period last year; the average price of neodymium oxide was 348,500 yuan/ton, a decrease of 7,875 yuan/ton from the previous month, a decrease of 2.2%, and an increase of 29,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 9.1%, from the same period last year.
