Praseodymium Oxide Price - October 26, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: praseodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium metal prices decline slightly while lanthanum oxide price remains stable on October 26, 2020. Under the complex global economic and trade market, traders have different consumer sentiments for the market.

From the perspective of the light rare earth market, the spot supply of neodymium and praseodymium is slightly insufficient, which arouses the desire of relevant users to actively purchase oxides, and the quotations of holders are firm. In addition, the price center of many medium and heavy rare earth products has also shifted upward, mainly because the downstream permanent magnet market is relatively active and the expected signal of purchasing and storage still exists.

Minmetals Rare Earth’s report for the third quarter of 2020 shows that from January to September this year, it achieved revenue of 964 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 25.47%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 135 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 118.81%. Among them, the operating income in the third quarter was 270 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.70%, and the net profit was -24,475,100 yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 286.24%. The main reason was the decline in the sales price of some rare earth commodities and the increase in the company’s provision for inventory decline.
