Praseodymium Neodymium Oxide Price - July 2, 2020

Rare earth market quotation in China: the prices of terbium oxide, neodymium oxide and praseodymium neodymium oxide edge higher when the whole market has prices but not sales.

Firstly, due to the continuous spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, logistics constrain, the current off season and the limited release of favorable policies, the demand side is weak and buyers seek for low prices. Secondly, with the impact of heavy rain and strict environmental protection, the supply of raw materials reduces, plus with the limited imports from overseas, the suppliers are reluctant to cut product prices. As a result, new increased orders decrease.

Imports of rare earth carbonate, unlisted rare earth oxides and rare earth metal mines increased month-on-month in May, according to customs data. Imports of rare earth carbonate in May were 478.7 tons, an increase of 11.9% month-on-month, of which Myanmar imported 435.7 tons, an increase of 19.6% month-on-month; unlisted oxide imports in May were 1780.7 tons, an increase of 19.2% month-on-month, of which Myanmar imported 1758.4 tons, an increase of 46.1% month-on-month ; In May, all rare earth metal ores were imported from the United States, with an import volume of 7507.5 tons, a month-on-month increase of 89.7% and a year-on-year increase of 123.7%, which is equivalent to the level from January to March 2020.
