China Rare Earth Prices - Jan. 14, 2020

China rare earth prices remain weak adjustment as a result of continued deadlocked supply and demand, and thin market trading. In the light rare earth market, under the stricter environmental protection and cold weather, the output of some northern rare earth smelters has been relatively limited, which has slowed the growth rate of spot inventory and boosted the confidence of most suppliers. Due to slightly weak demand, it is relatively difficult to raise prices. 

The heavy and medium rare earth market is stable. With the supply and demand pattern in a weak balance, traders are generally waiting and watching, and they are cautious in operating. It is believed that the market outlook may not change significantly in the short term.
